Oil Paintings

Finally I moved to paintings!

This terms was for the introductory painting class at the Art Center. We started from black/white only, then moved to the color oils, also from still life to figures. We also did different themes: pale, high contrast, strong light cast, etc.

I found it's much more difficult to take a decent picture of an oil painting than drawing. The glories really suck. Hope one day I can find a good scanner to do the digitization work.

Crazy drawing of the head

In the last class of head drawing we were asked to draw like crazy, literally. Anything goes, smudge, loose, strong strokes, etc.. purely expressive.

Some Head Drawings

This term I took the head drawing at the Art Center. I love Deni's class, so much fun! I can see my progress every week. What a nice way to spend the summer!

Afei Reading (without the book)

This term I took the Intermediate Figure drawing class at Art Center. I learnt a lot in this class, with tons of practice, 10 hours class+workshop per week.

The final project was a drawing  I did for Afei. Probably too much line work... Overall I was happy with it, but I should take some head drawing classes soon!
